Gitorious still needs some work to run under JRuby, the message you're
seeing stems from the ActiveMessaging plugin used by Gitorious iirc.
From experimenting with Gitorious under JRuby I think I had some
issues with:
- RDiscount
- ActiveMessaging
- Ultrasphinx
all of which should be moderately easy to take care of. I really
wouldn't bother to get ActiveMessaging running if you plan to use
TorqueBox, since Torquebox provides its own infrastructure for async
tasks which is probably a lot better than ActiveMessaging's.
If anyone wants to step up and make Gitorious work with JRuby, I'll
buy them a bottle of wine and do my best to offer some help in doing
so. It would really make installation a lot easier. Any takers?
Maybe after upgrading Gitorious to Rails 3, since it has more priority
for me. Could it be a box with beer? ;) I don't like wine very much,
except for the emulator sometimes... ;)
