>From the initial description the creation of Bitcoins do not generate value of themselves, or take part in the creation of new wealth but are simple symbols of wealth, created at cost(spent electricity and computing power). Can I propose, that Bitcoin, shoud join with SETI or other massive rendering or distributed computing efforts, so that AS the Bitcoins are generated, that they also contribute to these projects? Computers spend most of their time idle and can contribute so much, and in doing this Bitcoins would be a true measure of real life effort and value, which would make them a measure of value and not just cost. Keep up the good work.
