Hello all. I was wondering whether the shared repository model will ever be supported by gitorious. It's really all about allowing merge request between branches of the same repository. It could probably be done by just changing perspective on how you manage merge requests. Rather than taking into account the repositories, you could do that at a branch level, regardless of the repository that branch is in.
