Hi Chris,
the easiest way to do this is probably to clone the ce-installer as
instructed, then change all occurrences of the substring "var/www"
recursively in all files in the installer directory down to whatever
other path you want to use instead, then proceed with the installation
as normal.
We may add some options or "advanced mode" to the installer at some
point, but currently we're just optimizing for a single, well tested
"happy path". :)
