I'm using a dedicated VPS to install gitorious via SSH. My server is
running CentOSDuring the install, I'm getting errors:
ERROR: Error installing rubygems-update:
rubygems-update requires Ruby version >= 1.8.7
/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/commands/update_command.rb:103:Warning:

ERROR: While executing gem ... (NoMethodError)
undefined method `version' for nil:NilClass
After which it attempts to apply the puppet recipe, which eventually fails
and shows the following:
Applying Puppet recipe (will take a while, please be patient)...

installation.
You can check what happened behind the scenes in 'applied_recipe.log' in

Furthermore, check that you are running in a server environment officially

puppet apply --debug --modulepath=modules manifests/site.pp
