I don't think anything changed much with regards to nginx.
Here's the config that works correctly:
https://gitorious.org/gitorious/gitorious-docker/source/5c0f42401b13adb6d16e6985bb5c991e58a99367:config/nginx/gitorious.conf
https://gitorious.org/gitorious/gitorious-docker/source/5c0f42401b13adb6d16e6985bb5c991e58a99367:config/nginx/nginx.conf
The most important settings is the "root" path in the first file which
should point to "public" directory in the app's dir.
Also, is your nginx instance running as git user?

The next thing you should do is to run: chown -R git:git <gitorious
application dir>.
OK. I ran that and now all the files are owned by git:git however my
access.log still shows 404 errors on any non-html content. Such as images, .js
or .css files.
Did something change in nginx that prevents it from serving these file types?
Possibly a missing mime-type or something?
