Fresh installed Gitorious 3.0 (28.1.2014) SERVER_SOFTWARE: Unicorn 4.6.3 switching from localhost to 127.0.0.1 in database.yml solved the Problem: sed -i "s/localhost/127.0.0.1/g" /var/www/gitorious/app/config/database.yml
