I'm new to git and GitX and am having problems opening a repository in GitX. I'm also new to the Mac, so that may be part of the problem too.
I've run "git clone" and have local copies of the project files, including .git. From the GitX menu I select "File/Open" and get the Open dialog. I navigate to the directory I "cloned" into, select Open, and nothing happens. No window pops up, no error dialog, nothing. I've confirmed the directory I'm positioned on contains a .git file (but I can't see that in the Open dialog). What's up? Thanks, Rich
