Dear GKD Members,

Currently I am starting development for a specialised Linux distribution
for use within Aid/NGO organisation offices. The design is being
specially developed to exploit Linux's superior communications abilities
under difficult conditions to deliver email via bad phone lines,
satelite phone and radio to outlying bases. The design is set up to be
easy to maintain, as well as ease the network setup by providing File
and Print services as well. Configuration will be via a WWW frontend.

The initial WWW site is up at:

<http://www.anathoth.gen.nz/debian-aid-server/html/debian-aid-server.html>

with a philosophy page up at:

<http://www.anathoth.gen.nz/html/intro-philosophy.html>

One of my desires is to work on this full time as I will then be able to
bring my full resource and time to bear. To do this I will need to
partner with 4 - 6 Aid organisations so that applications can be made
for funding so that I can work on it for a year. This funding would
cover trips to the field, implementation and setup in the field,
documentation, training etc. A freely downloadable CD-ROM will be made
available for all to use.

My resume can be found here: <http://www.anathoth.gen.nz/html/resume.pdf>

Please let me know of your interest, and let me know of any contacts
that my be of use to the project.

Thank you very much.

Matthew Grant
