Actually, I have put his book on my book TODO list, which is ever growing,
seldom shrinking... I am always open to suggestions for good literature.

Uh, I am sure I am prominent (because I am very active), but don't mix this
up with capable ;) I am the Debian GNU/Hurd coordinator, which means I say
what needs to be done to get a distribution together, but the Hurd authors
are Thomas Bushnell and Roland McGrath. (Putting together what other people
write is much more dull and a lot easier then making all these design
decisions on your own!)
Sergio, thanks a lot for giving me the possibility to place a shameless plug
on this list. Look at www.debian.org/ports/hurd if you are interested in the
Hurd OS.
(If you wonder what may be the connection between this thread and the Hurd,
beside me, then be told that the Hurd is all about choice: It's an OS
designed to give any user the possibility to replace parts of the system,
without the necessity to trust those new components. This means users can
start their own filesystems, exec servers, pager, etc. Wouldn't it be great
if he could choose between different glade palettes, too ;)
