Hi,
in HEAD gnome-libs libgnomeui, there's gnome-gconf.[ch] which links
widgets with GConfValues. This is only part of the solution for
_really_ easy configuration dialogs. I've been working on the
other part, making (lib)glade gnome-gconf aware.
These patches:

add a 'key' property to GtkEntry in glade, and
lets libglade update the key value when you put the entry
inside a gnome-propertybox. This needs extending to all the
widgets gnome-gconf.[ch] support, and to other windows
than just a gnome-propertybox, but I thought I'd ask
what you think of this before going any further.
