FYI, 3.7.1 is not a stable release (and we've fixed loads of bugs since then, just with the task of supporting 3.0 it's been very difficult to get a new release out). For the best results with the newest software, you should configure Glade sources from git with --with-gtk=2.0 and try compiling that.
