Hello all, Sara Thomas here, Wikimedian in Residence at Museums Galleries Scotland. My post is rapidly coming to an end... and as we apply for more funding for the post (not from WMUK), we're looking to create an evaluation tool which can be used to evidence the impact of these programmes. One of the aims is that we can use this tool - and its outcomes - to build a stronger case for support for further funding, and that it could be shared with other residents and GLAM partnerships. My research thus far has taken me to toolsets for evidencing the impact of the digitisation of museum collections, and there's a growing body of work on that. However, what we're looking at is somewhat different, and I'd really love to hear from anyone - particularly from outwith the UK - who has any Wiki-specific evaluation experience and could offer advice.
