I had got a curious run time message in ghc-0.29-linux:

Entered a `black hole': the program has a cyclic data dependency.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe it should say `possibly has a cyclic data dependency' ?

For how it is sure, if the compiler had not noticed the evil cycle?
