Perry The Cynic gets bitten by ye olde rusage gotcha. Firstly, let
me second Jon Mountjoy's suggestions -- especially the first.
For quite a while we had a mixture of Solaris 2.4 and 2.5 mechines
here, and what a pain in the neck that was. But failing these,
before you go to the desparate lengths of .hc files (shudder):
> This also happens to the binary distribution for version 0.29.
> I am using a fairly standard Solaris version 2.4.
At the risk of sounding highly retrograde, I think it should be possible
to build 2.04 with 0.2_6_, which I can testify was running here on
Sol2.4 machines. A statically linked version of either 0.29 or 2.02
should also do the job. Having said that, I'm not aware of any of these
being available terribly readily. Perhaps such a version could be
put up for ftp next time there's a Major Binary Release, Sigbjorn
and Simon?
Good luck,
Alex.
