Everything did go very smoothly :) (but slow: docs/installing.lit says
something like 'an hour or two of recompiling and you're on the road
again'. It took my poor 586 12 hours to compile ghc (without the
hslibs...))
I found out thought that
ghc/dos/users_guide/release.lit mentions (and includes) a 2-06-notes.lit
file, but that's not included in the distribution.
'make install' doesn't install TopClosure.o. Circa line 588 in
mk/target.mk there's a 'break' preventing it from being installed. Easy
fix...
'make install-strip' doesn't work, at least from fptools/
Does 2.06 does a better job compiling itself than 0.29 does? I mean, is
the result of the self-application better?
