OK, I'm convinced, I'm convinced! ;-) (In my defence I offer merely
that I didn't know about make bin-dist until after doing this most
recent build, rather than repeatedly doing things the wrong way out
of sheer masochism...)

It actually works fine, mkdependHS aside, and that wasn't hard to
tweak, either. But I'll do it the Approved Way next time, honest
