ghc-4.02  understands  {-# SPECIALIZE ... #-}
          and ignores  {-# specialize ... #-}

though the Haskell-98 report gives only the second name.
Maybe, the same would be with `inline', `optimise'.

ghc  always tended to ingnore silently wrongly spelled pragmas.
So, instead of fixing a typo, the programmer would think that such and 
such optimisation does not help.
