CVS server glitch

Hello!

When I type
  cvs -z 3 up -APd
in the fptools directory, the update aborts (fortunately after having
updated everything, except possibly for some nofib bits) with this
error message:

cvs server: Updating nofib/PRIVATE/amoco-linear-system-solver
cvs [server aborted]: cannot open directory 
/cvs/fptools/nofib/PRIVATE/amoco-linear-system-solver: No such file or directory
