I'm puzzled. I can build the head of the tree with 4.05 (installed
straight from the InstallShield distribution). I don't see why you
need to compile 4.06 first. I suggest you try directly to compile
the head with 4.05.
Are you sure that you have updated your entire tree (not just
ghc/compiler, but fptools)? I wonder if your driver (ghc/driver)
is up to date. In short
cvs update -Pd; autoconf; ./configure; make clean; make boot; make
is a good strategy. Get back to us right away if this doesn't work.
