I think my observation was still noteworthy because we may have checked
out the sources at different times, even if from the same branch.
And, my version runs on OpenBSD/x86, not on Debian/GNU Linux/x86.
Yes, I know, I really should prepare patches to be integrated
into the official source tree as well as a binary release to
bootstrap from. For the latter, I'd need some upload space, then I could
provide a binary .tar.bz2 fast (however not built with the standard tools,
but a fixed install into /usr/local/ghc4-08, you must include
/usr/local/ghc4-08/bin into your path or make symlinks for the binaries
into /usr/local/bin). For the patches, I'd have to cleanup a bit, then
I can run cvs diff and submit that.
