Is it one of those problems where you need to use GNU
make, and not the native Solaris make?

| Subject: make in-place error
|
|
| I downloaded the sparc-sun-solaris2 binary .gz file. I'm on a Sun
| machine that says it's running SunOS 6.7. `configure'
| apparently worked
| fine. When I tried the `make in-place', I got:
|
| swift(115)% make in-place
| mksh: Fatal error in reader: = missing from replacement macro
| reference
| Current working directory
| /afs/cs.unc.edu/home/heringto/applications/ghc-4.08.1
|
| Can you help?
|
| Thanks.
