#1419: "GHC as a library" stalls when nobody is consuming it's output

Comment:

 The undesirable behaviour doesn't appear to happen in the HEAD, so I'm
 closing the bug as probably fixed.  I briefly looked into the cause but
 didn't fully establish what the problem was; my guess is that it's
 something to do with blocking I/O, which we changed in HEAD recently.
