{{{-fdicts-cheap}}} does the trick as well. I notice there's a comment on
line 1045 of {{{coreSyn/CoreUtils.lhs}}} that says:
" -- One could go further and make exprIsCheap reply True to any
-- dictionary-typed expression, but that's more work."
