I can't reproduce this on amd64/Linux or x86/Linux. Can you please attach
the output of running
{{{
ghc -O2 -fvia-C b.hs -tmpdir . -keep-tmp-files -v
}}}
as well as the temporary files (which should end up in a directory called
something like `ghc16011_0/`?
