A request for this function has appeared again. Please review the old
thread at
<http://www.haskell.org/pipermail/libraries/2006-November/thread.html#6133>.
The only stumbling block is the name. I prefer partitionEithers at this
point, but (like everyone) any of the possible names works just as well.
This patch includes what #1695 covers and more.
