I don't think there is any need to drag things out that long. I'd suggest
2 weeks should be fine for this proposal.
You also need to send a message to libraries@ describing the proposed
change (with the details in the message rather than just a URL is best)
and referencing this ticket, and will need to summarise the discussion in
this ticket when it's over. Please see

I think the CC to [EMAIL PROTECTED] failed because the list doesn't
think that trac is a subscriber.
