Thanks -- serves me right for not reading the manual. However, there's
still a documentation problem: Section 5.6.12 of the users' guide mentions
the flag {{{-fwarn-orphan-modules}}}, which doesn't seem to exist. I'm not
sure whether that's supposed to mean the same thing as {{{-fwarn-
orphans}}}, but in any case, that should be fixed. (I would fix it myself
if all of my source trees weren't currently hosed.)
