Comment:
This has the same smell as #2081. We don't know if it's fixed in 6.10.1
until we try to build 6.10.1 with itself, and presumably we can't do that
because the people experiencing the problem can't build 6.10.1 at all?
Can we please continue to investigate this one until we know what the
cause is.
