#2889: Compilation fails - Can't opne temporary

When compiling (either a .hs or linking .o's), the following error is
reported and the .exe is not created:
C:\PROGRA~1\GHC\bin/windres: can't open temporary file `\/cca02256.irc':
Invalid argument
Although it does not seem to be a disk space problme ("Invalid argument"),
I tried -tmpdir and the error was still reported.
