Trying a threadDelay call, at 0.01 seconds (what should be an eternity,
for a computer) I still get the bug occurring. My next attempt is an
exception handler around the readFile, which does a 1 second delay + GC
and a retry.
This bug appears to be relatively serious for Windows users. Perhaps the
priority could be bumped?
