Comment (by elaforge):
Well, it fails quite infrequently, and I can discern no pattern. It's
done this 4 or 5 times since I upgraded to 6.10.4 (I never saw it before
then). It's invoked with "+RTS -N2 -RTS" and links to various C
libraries, some of which call back into haskell (yes I'm using "safe" for
those). The crash is during startup but I think after some initialization
has occurred. Since I can't trigger it reliably it's hard to track down.
It's possible there's some corruption from my C code, that for some reason
only causes a crash when the system clock is a prime number or something
like that.
Also the binary is 35mb... still want it? Maybe if you set it up running
and quitting all night maybe you could get it to happen, but since I have
no idea what's causing it, even that is not guaranteed. For that matter,
maybe I should set it up to do that but I wouldn't know how to get more
info out of the error...
Sorry it's so vague! I'd be happy to help if you have suggestions.
