Good point. This is a test I added when stressing the HEAD harder with
type equality coercions. I'm not precisely sure which patches are
involved, and I propose not to fix it on the branch. (If it starts
cropping up for real in the branch we can address it.)
Ian: maybe turn this test into expect-fail for 6.12.
