DISREGARD the last comment. I forgot that I had implemented a work-
around.
The only useful information in that last comment is that I was *not* able
to duplicate the bug on a machine with 8 cores (Mac OS 10.5.8, 2 X 2.26
GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon).
