There still isn't a newer Windows stable snapshot out, but once there is
I'll confirm and close it.
The really bad news is that I just tried the full original demo on GHC
6.12.3 and it segfaults occasionally (1 in 10, far less than this test
case). It looks like the cause of #4506 was only introduced after 6.12.3,
so perhaps I found a segfault, and in the process of reducing it down,
reduced it to another segfault? I'll see once I have a snapshot of 7.0.2.
