Comment(by gwright):
ghc 6.10.4 on FreeBSD 8.1/amd64 doesn't show this bug, so it looks like it
is specific to OS X, or only occurs in 7.0.1 or later. If anyone else
tries to reproduce this, please note the ghc version.
