Roman: I was thinking about making stream fusion do concatMap properly. Of
course you can specialise on lambdas directly as an alternative.
Simon: I would prefer if you eliminated the box for e.g. y_smH, so y_smH
binds something of type Int# instead of Int. This would eliminate the
allocation and the unboxing in both branches. I don't think this requires
code duplication, unless I'm missing something?
