My mistake, I don't think I actually tested with the stock 7.0.1, only the
current 7.0 branch. It does indeed fail with 7.0.1, but not the current
7.0 branch.
I'm fairly certain this is #4813 in another guise. I'll close when you've
had a chance to test against a recent snapshot.
