Frankly there's already been a great deal of feedback - this particular
design was actually discussed in the most recent haskell-cafe thread and
got a fair few +1s. I think it's now time to put it in and see how well
it works in practice.
Remember, no code will actually break unless you explicitly ask to turn on
the extension.
