 My main gripe with .hs-boot files is the duplication. A solution like
 Lennart proposed would make me happy as I've run into issues with the .hs-
 boot file and .hs file getting out of sync. Transparent support for
 recursively dependent modules would be nice but I can't see anyone
 stepping up to do it so would rather push towards the easier solution for
 now.
