#2972: ppc ghci segfaults at startup ------------------------+--------------------------------------------------- Reporter: cemeyer | Owner: erikd Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: _|_ Component: GHCi | Version: 7.5 Keywords: | Os: Linux Architecture: powerpc | Failure: GHCi crash Difficulty: Unknown | Testcase: Blockedby: | Blocking: Related: | ------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
Comment(by erikd): The attached patch (0001-Fix-GHCi-segfault-during-startup-on- PowerPC-2972.patch) has been tested on linux-powerpc, linux-i386 and linux-x86_64. I ran ran validate on powerpc and x86_64. I emailed the haskell@h.o and haskell-cafe@h.o mailing lists asking for people interested in powerpc on other OSes (eg *BSD and darwin) to help test and have not received a response. I suspect that this patch may break darwin-powerpc, but have no way of testing it. My feeling is that the patch should be applied and if it breaks darwin- powerpc then we (I volunteer to help) fix it. Does that sound sane? -- Ticket URL: <http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/2972#comment:21> GHC <http://www.haskell.org/ghc/> The Glasgow Haskell Compiler _______________________________________________ Glasgow-haskell-bugs mailing list Glasgow-haskell-bugs@haskell.org http://www.haskell.org/mailman/listinfo/glasgow-haskell-bugs
