Subject: AIX/RS6000 ghc-2.03 port

Hi everybody,

If you are brave enough you can test the binary release
of ghc-2.03 (plus patches) for RS6000 from
http://www.di.ufpe.br/~alms/tmp/ghc-2.03-rs6000-ibm-aix.tar.gz.

caveats:
No profiling/concurrent/parallel versions.
No native code gen (yet!).
Since I haven't bootstrapped it from lhs files (only from the .hc files)
you have to use the -fvia-C option to compile, otherwise it
will probably try to spit some other architecture's assembler (sparc?).

I will put my source tree available in the same place (soon),
if someone wants to try bootstrapping
or building concurrent/profiling/parallel versions.

All the necessary patches should be in the 2.04 release.

Andre.

PS: problems with gcc/assembler are not too
unlikely, since IBM can't make its mind about the name of its
instructions.
I think I supported the most common cases, but tell me
if you run into problems.
