No, no. 
The question was not on the accessible variety of sorting programs. 
It was only
  which implementation ghc has to relate to the standard name `sort'.

I argued for  mergeSort  instead of recent  quickSort.
And my last suggestion (for the Haskell-2 Standard Library) is to 
relate to `sort' *all* the remarkble sortings - by providing the 
additional mode argument of type Char.
