after "make binary-dist" I'm left with an unnecessary .tar file and a
link (ghc-6.10.3 -> .). The mere *.tar.bz2 file would do (and is big
enough).
I fixed that in the new build system, not sure whether it's worth fixing
in the branch at this stage.
