My optometrist suggested that I try a pair of computer glasses, so I
figured I'd use an old frame and just have the computer reading
prescription put in. That seems like a great place to try out some of
the online lens services, but I have no idea what the quality level is
for any of the options:

        Clear CR-39 Lens $13.98
        Essilor ™ CR 1.5 Titus® clear lenses $9.99
Single Vision Polycarbonate 1.6 Lite Wear ® $24.99
Carl Zeiss Plastic Clarlet 1.5 CS with ARC $39.99
Single vision Optima Resolution 1.6 Stress free Polycarbonate $39.99
Trivex Tri performance 1.53 super safety Lenses $89.99
Nikon Aspheric 1.67 High-Index Lens with ARC $99.99
Carl Zeiss Clarlet 1.67 AS with Anti reflection coating $112.50
THINNEST Carl Zeiss Clarlet 1.74 with ARC $249.99

I tried searching the group archives, but didn't see much that was
interesting. Anyone have feedback on these?

I'm leaning towards just trying out the CR-39 option, simply because
it's a) cheap (it's not like I'm taking a big financial risk here) and
b) lots of people talk about CR-39 in the archives. Point (b) is
fairly arbitrary though; it's not like there are a lot of posts
talking about the high quality of their CR39's. Any of the < $50
lenses are an option though. Certainly the Zeiss name is the only one
that means anything to me in that range. Is there a noticable
difference between the Zeiss and the CR-39's?
