No matter how I think on it, subtracting the bridge distance from
pupillary distance, then dividing by two seems to me to produce how
far in millimeters it should be from one side or the other of the
bridge to the centre of either lenses. Perhaps my brain is glitching
sadly. :(

I now gather that 58mm is unusually large for a lenses size. Should
this be a matter for concern? I was quite careful about looking at
both the frame itself *and* the tag attached to the frame for this
information, and about writing it down right there in the store. Also,
I gather from inference from measurements at Zenni or somesuch place
that the adjustment for the hinge parts on either side of a frame
might be calculated more as 7.5mm for each side, rather than 10mm.
Does this make sense?

Additionally, after more reading, it seems lenses height is a possible
problem. It seemed okay at the store, but I didn't measure the height.
Should I be paying more attention to lenses height? Along this line,
when you say "centered", do you mean horizontally, or vertically? At
the store, the pupils seemed to my memory to be centered vertically,
but not horizontally (because my eyes are on the narrow side in a
rather large head, which I claim to be because it's stuffed with
brains, notwithstanding the stray unkind remark about it actually
being due to an ego the size of Italy, heh).

The more I read, the more confusing and complicated it gets, even
while learning a lot from reading a bunch of older threads here in
this group.

BTW, yes, I would welcome a correction if needed on how to refer to
the eyeglasses themselves, as "lens" or "lenses". The stuff I'm
reading from Googling it is confusing.
