The computer prescription would be weaker than your regular one, so it definitely would NOT be -8.25. You never want to go stronger than your full myopia prescription.
-6.25 is in the ballpark. It depends on how far you sit from the screen and how large the print is. I sit about 30" back, and I add +. 75 to my prescription. You can buy a pair of cheap +1.00 reading glasses and hold them in front of your regular glasses.
