My wife and I sat down last night on the Zenni site and started looking for glasses. I'm fairly nearsighted (-6.25/-5.25), she's less so (-4.5/-3.25) so we just get the standard lenses. By the time we were done we had 11 pairs of glasses in our shopping cart (4 for me, 7(!) for her)! And the real kicker, we still spent less than $200 on them, all with AR coating and at least 4 pairs of sunglasses in the mix. This is the first time in my life I've ever had a fully intact pair of backup glasses (much less multiple pairs) and will be the first time I've ever been able to afford prescription sunglasses. The last set of glasses I got at an optometrist ran $400, were almost exactly the same as a pair I picked up at Zenni for $13 this summer and broke within a year, I doubt I'll ever buy glasses in a store again. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://www.glassyeyes.com!
