+0.75 DS is a low Add (which generally means that you are just starting to need to wear something to make reading or close work clearer). The Add is the magnification Added on to your distance prescription to make the correct prescription for near work. In a progressive lens normally the bottom portion is the part devoted to reading (it isn't called the Add). If you use the Add of +1.00 then you will be increasing the magnification of your glasses by a quarter of a dioptre - which can mean that you have to hold things a little closer for a period of time.
