Since they were relatively inexpensive, I ordered a pair of Glasses with Progressives from Both Zenni and G4U to compare for myself.
Zenni's are fantastic, I dont think I've EVER gotten a pair so "spot on" from a US brick and mortar. While I did order them four and a half weeks ago, they arrived, and my counsel is patience, it's worth the wait. Googles4U's are curious, wearable to be sure, but...When you hold them up to the light, there is a 0+ in the far right field of vision, and a 150+ in the far left. this is etched into the plastic in a 9 point san serif type, almost midway down the inside of the lenses. I will admit that it's hard to notice, and possibly a non -issue as these marking wouldn't be visible to someone looking at you. My concern is that these lenses have a different vision path than the 'standard'. Any help on how to adapt to these would be appreciated. I'm guessing that there is no true standard when it comes to progressive lenses. I've never had them before, and I loathe my visible line bifocals from the brick and mortar. I can't complain too much though, this little "experiment" was less than 110.00, which is HALF of the quote (220.00) for just the Progressive lenses(no coatings) locally without the frames! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://www.glassyeyes.com!
